Mental Health

Physical health has long been a topic, that is being discussed by society. At least in the developed parts of the world. Most people know, that it is something we should look after. Also, physical ailments are more quickly treated. We know that we should exercise regularly and to go to the doctor once something hurts or isn’t right.
But our mental health is also part of our overall health, which only in recent years, especially with the pandemic and it’s aftermaths, has seemingly come into the public’s mind. But what is mental health? How do we take care of it and is it linked to our physical health?
According to the WHO, Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community.*
Reading that, it seems mental health is quite important to our existence as human beings. So what are the factors that contribute positively, or negatively, to it? Is it linked to our physical health? Can we “exercise” to prevent “injuries” to our mind? What are possible injuries to our mind? These are the questions we want to tackle in the future and explore.
So stay tuned and keep on taking one step.
